Learn to knit socks from the Cuff down to the Toe on DPNs.
After you learn this method and the basic construction of socks, you can move on to other styles. It takes 4 one-hour sessions to make a sock, depending on how much you finish between classes.
The class is LIVE on ZOOM for plenty of personal attention, including a 2nd camera facing my hands, so you can see how to do things!
At each class, we will work on a new section of your sock at each class.
Plan for Classes:
1: Cast on to DPNS and start ribbing (homework, complete ribbing and knit stockinette to heel start)
2: Work heel flap and turn heel and begin Gusset (homework: complete Gusset and work foot)
3. Work Gusset decreases if needed and continue foot (homework: complete foot to 2" less than total foot length)
4. Work Toe decreases and Kitchener stitch
PREREQUISITE FOR THIS CLASS: Must be very comfortable casting on and working Knits and Purls.
SUPPLIES LIST: For class, its a good idea to know the measurement of the foot length you want to fit, and the diameter of the recipient's ankle.
